Aunt Hattie was the most wonderful beautiful Aunt anyone could possibly want. So good and honorable, warm and sunny, patient, calm and kind, wise and talented and accomplished, generous, loyal and loving, strong and courageous, with the most fabulous smile and laugh. My ideal of Thanksgiving remains the wonderful Thanksgivings at Uncle Carl and Aunt Hattie’s townhouse back when we were all so young and the whole extended immigrant family still lived in the Chicago area and Thanksgiving was a multi-family, multi-generation affair. How lucky we all are to have known her. My sincerest condolences to all.
